The one thing to know before you read anything else
kiamatreeremoval.com.au is a referral website.
We take your enquiry and put it in front of independent tree contractors working around Kiama, Gerringong, Jamberoo, Minnamurra and the rest of the Municipality. That is the whole service.
We do not own a chipper. We do not send a crew. The operator of this website performs no tree work at all.
This is stated at the top of the page rather than buried at the bottom, because it changes who you are actually dealing with.
Last updated: August 2026.
Who turns up at your place
The person who inspects the tree, gives you a price, does the cutting and issues the invoice is an independent third-party contractor. They run their own business.
They are not employed by the operator of this website. Not a subsidiary, not a franchisee, not a partner, not an agent. We do not supervise their work, set their prices, choose their equipment or control their schedule.
Once we have introduced you, everything of substance sits between you and them:
- the site inspection and the quote;
- what is included, what is excluded, and when it happens;
- the price, the payment terms and any warranty;
- their tickets, licences and insurance;
- responsibility for any damage, delay, injury or dispute.
The website operator is not a party to that contract and has no role in it.
What "we" means everywhere else on this site
Across the service pages we write the way people talk — "we can sort that out", "the crews we work with", "call us for a quote".
That is ordinary plain English, not a claim that the website operator does tree work. Read every one of those sentences as "we will connect you with a local contractor who does this". That is what it means, on every page, without exception.
Descriptions of emergency removal, tree removal, storm damage clean-up, lopping, stump grinding, palm removal, pruning and hedge trimming describe work carried out by independent contractors. Not by us.
We do not check contractors, and we will not pretend otherwise
We try to send enquiries to capable local operators. We want to be straight about where that stops.
We do not verify, vet, audit, endorse, certify or guarantee any contractor's qualifications, licences, tickets, public liability or workers compensation insurance, safety systems, workmanship, pricing or availability. We make no representation that any particular contractor is right for your job.
You will see wording on this site along the lines of "we ask the crews we work with to carry public liability cover". That is exactly what it says — a request, not a verification. Do not treat it as confirmation that any given contractor is insured.
So, before anyone starts a saw on your property:
- Ask to see the public liability insurance certificate and check the dates and the insured name.
- Ask what qualifications they hold for the specific work — climbing and dismantling is not the same as hedge trimming.
- Get the quote in writing, with the scope spelled out and clean-up either included or excluded in plain words.
- Ask who is responsible if something is damaged.
Any competent operator expects these questions and answers them without fuss. Anyone who bristles has told you something useful.
No reviews, no ratings, no testimonials
This is a new business listing. There is no star rating on this site and there are no customer testimonials, because there are none to publish yet.
If you ever see a review or rating appear on these pages, it will be a genuine one. We would rather show nothing than invent something.
Tree and Council information is general only
What we publish about Kiama's coastal conditions, salt-laden southerlies, local species such as Norfolk Island pines, figs, cabbage tree palms and camphor laurel, and about Kiama Council's tree rules, is general information written for the district.
It is not arboricultural advice about your tree, and it is not legal advice.
Council controls, exemptions, thresholds, fees and application processes change over time, and how they apply depends on the individual tree — its species, size, location on the block and the zoning of the land. Nothing here is an approval, and nothing here confirms that you do not need one.
Confirm your situation directly with Kiama Council on 02 4232 0444, and have a qualified arborist inspect anything you are genuinely worried about. If a page on this site conflicts with Council, Council is right and this page is wrong.
Response times and availability
We describe this service as open 7 days, 6am–7pm, with urgent jobs prioritised. That describes how enquiries are handled.
It is not a guaranteed attendance time. Whether a contractor can reach you, and how quickly, depends on their workload, the weather and conditions on the ground — particularly after a storm, when demand across the coast spikes at once.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of this website accepts no liability for any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense arising from or connected with:
- the conduct, workmanship, advice, acts or omissions of any independent contractor;
- work that is performed, delayed, varied or not performed;
- any contract, invoice, payment dispute or damage claim between you and a contractor;
- reliance on general information published on this website; or
- any Council approval issue, penalty or enforcement action relating to tree work at your property.
Nothing here excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
How this site is paid
The operator of this website may receive a fee or other commercial benefit from contractors in connection with enquiries referred to them.
It does not add anything to the price you are quoted. It does not oblige you to accept a quote or to use anyone you are introduced to. You are free to get other quotes, and for anything sizeable you should.
